Patrick Parrish, Director of Tournaments and Instruction
Patrick Parrish has had a lifelong passion for golf.  He worked for his grandfather, Earl Henderson, who owned and operated Atascadero Golf Club in Atascadero, California. It was there that Patrick not only honed his golf game, but learned the business of golf course management.  Patrick later was offered a scholarship by Eddie Merrins to join the #1 UCLA Bruins golf team in the early 1980s, playing alongside future PGA Tour stars Corey Pavin, Steve Pate, Duffy Waldorf, and Tom Pernice. Patrick went on to graduate from UCLA with a Bachelor’s Degree in History. He then proceeded to the University of California at Berkeley where he earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in English Literature.

Following his junior and collegiate success, Patrick played a short time on the Nike (Today’s Nationwide Tour) and Asian Tours, but eventually returned to the Monterey Peninsula in the mid-1990s and was offered a position at the Pebble Beach Golf Academy by Laird Small.  Patrick also worked alongside PGA Tour stars Mark O’Meara, Johnny Miller, Ken Venturi, David Feherty, Hal Sutton, Andy North, Davis Love III, Curtis Strange, and David Duval. In 2004, Patrick moved to Poppy Hills Golf Course where he became Lead Instructor and Tournament Director. Patrick’s teaching career has been very successful. He has taught four PGA Tour winners, five Champions Tour players, and attracted a wide following among nationally ranked junior and collegiate players, many of whom have earned college scholarships. In addition to becoming Titleist Performance Institute, Golf Machine, and Impact Zone Certified, he also serves on the AT&T Junior Golf Association Board of Directors.
